NATIONAL RADIO PROMOTION SERVICES
GeeThirteen.com Records covers the Top 300 Hip-Hop/Rap Stations and Specialty Shows at Commercial/Public/College Radio. These are the specific Music Directors and Specialty Show hosts, that will receive a copy of Your Record, and contacted by phone and e-mail in the promotion phase of your project. Each of the stations/shows that "Add" your record to their rotation will receive follow-up calls to promote giveaways, interviews and liner breaks with group members, upcoming shows, etc. Every avenue of creating and sustaining airplay with these stations will be taken on behalf of your project.
Approximately 70 of these stations include Commercial, Satellite and Net Radio programmers, who are serviced in your campaign. Some of the people serviced in these areas merely host Rap Shows on a commercial station only once a week. Still others program entire channels of Cable, Internet or Satellite radio services. Airplay even once on these outlets could equate to a great deal of exposure for your project.
However, in servicing 300 stations, every outlet will present it's own unique challenge to achieving airplay. Some stations and shows may jump on your record immediately. Others may take weeks just to get around to listen to your record. If they don't like the record, they're not going to play it, but we will ask them why and report that back to you as well.
You will receive weekly reports on the stations that we service in your campaign. We maintain a record of every station we service with your record. We contact those stations playing the record every week to check on rotation, chart position, number of spins, and any requests or listener feedback. We continue to act as your representative to the radio community and push for as much exposure as possible throughout the length of your campaign.
A typical promotion campaign lasts anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. Once the CD is shipped, the Relax MP3 will be on the phones making sure the radio stations have received the record and are reviewing your music. From there, it's working every angle to get and sustain airplay with every station and specialty show that likes the record.
During the campaign, any Live Performances that you have on your schedule, will be fronted by our staff. Even if your are scheduled to appear in a market where we don't have airplay, we'll be there finding a station that will play the record or at least promote the show. In addition, we can set up station visits and meet and greets with media contacts in any market on your tour schedule.
Obviously, ticket giveaways, product giveaways, artist interviews and recorded station breaks will be needed to take full advantage of every opportunity the radio campaign will create. Our primary goal is to create as many opportunities to expose your music and generate name recognition for your project. We put you in front of people that you will need to connect with to achieve greater success.
